After releasing firmware 2.7 which contained several minor bugs Garmin has issued a clean up release for the Oregon with the following fixes:

  • Fixed 3D view not displaying
  • Fixed shaded relief being set to ‘Do Not Show’
  • Added setting to change land cover text size

I’ve downloaded the update, verified that the first two items are fixed and that there is a new land cover text size setting under Setup>Map>Advanced Map Setup>Text Size>Land Cover.  That’s all for now since my house is going on 24 hours without power and the temps are headed into the teens tonight.  Time to drain the pipes, ugh.
