Garmin Oregon x00 Beta 3.15 Available
I just received a notice that beta 3.15 is ready for Garmin Oregon x00 users. This new software drop looks like it might fix the shutdown issue that many users have reported since beta 3.12. The release notes indicate that the shutdowns were related to custom POIs with custom symbols. That would explain the problems I was seeing as well as for many geocachers who use the popular GSAK import/export macros. Otherwise it was a pretty small release that added a new datum (LKS92) and fixed another routing avoidance issue which I’m not familiar with.
I haven’t done much other than load the new release but I hope to get some testing in this evening. Neither the GPS firmware (3.7) or Wherigo player versions (2.11) are updated by this new beta.
Share your experiences with beta 3.15 on the Oregon wiki discussion thread.

I wish the Oregon have a scientific calculator like the Colorado (e.g. to calculate angle between 2 lines or area…). In addition it might have an easy way to add exotic keyboard and fonts like other Nüvi that Garmin have done already:

then the Oregon would be perfect!
