GPSNow has announced that they have the Oregon 550t available for $599.99 with a free shipping option.  The 550 does not seem to be in stock yet.  GPSNow will ship the unit out today if you order before 5pm central time.  Starting tomorrow morning I hope to have one in my hands and will start a series of first impression posts on GPSFix introducing the new unit.
