Great Deal — Garmin Oregon 400t for $349 at REI

This is the best price I’ve seen yet for the Garmin Oregon 400tand this is from REI, one of my favorite outdoor retailers. You won’t find any better service than REI’s 100% satisfaction guarantee plus as a member you can get an additional 10% back. The price at REI is $399 and with the $50 rebate (PDF) from Garmin you get your hands on the top of the line model for just $349.
The sale is good until May 10th (as is the Garmin rebate) and also includes a 20% off any full price item. GPS items are excluded with the exception of the deal above.
Could REI be clearing out a little inventory ahead of an Oregon 500 release?

I just hope if they are clearing out the current Oregons, that Garmin doesn’t leave the current owners hanging in the breeze, the way they did the Colorado owners.

I just picked up one at the sale price. It was the last one REI had in the store so I feel lucky to have gotten it at such a great price. I’ve been wanting one, but didn’t want to pay $600 for it. I’m off hiking and photographing at the Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce next week so this should come in pretty handily.

Have fun at Grand Canyon, Bryce, and Zion…. we went last year and it was a blast. My favorite was Zion…make sure to check out walters wiggles and Angels Landing. Wish we would have had the chance to hike the narrows but it was too cold. We hiked the fairyland loop at Bryce… was pretty fun, but wished we would have spent more time at Zion and the Grand Canyon.
