Garmin Oregon 400t Canada Rumors
A new Canadian model of the Garmin Oregon 400t has shown up on GPSCity.ca which includes preinstalled Canadian Topo maps. No word which topo maps will be used and no mention of this product on Garmin’s site yet. GPSCity.ca lists the unit for $710 CAD and has an April 4th estimated ship date.
Updated 3/28: Garmin has confirmed that the Oregon 400t Canada will have the 1:50k Topo maps with DEM and 3D shaded relief. Part number for the new device is 010-00697-09 and is listed on GPSCity for $550 USD, no word if the current $50 Oregon rebate applies.

There is also an Australian 400t variant (part no. 010-00697-17) based on the newly released Topo Australia maps. Like the Canadian variant it too is not yet on the Garmin website but is already available from Garmin Australia resellers.

Thanks for the tip David. Can you send me a link to the new 400t Australia? Googling the part number didn’t turn up much.

Here’s hoping that a Topo Canada dvd isn’t far behind. Having to use Garmin’s sd card is less than desirable… and I have no plans to chuck out my perfectly good Colorado just to update my mapset. Also GPS City want’s $710 for this , which is a lot more than I paid for my Colorado 400t with the Topo USA I never use preloaded …
