New versions of the Garmin Oregon 400t with new versions of DEM enabled Topo maps seem to be showing up daily.  A reader here on GPSFix (thanks David!) alerted us to the fact that Garmin has released an Austrailian version of the Oregon 400t which includes a preinstalled version of Topo Australia.  Mapsource Topo Austraila includes DEM (elevation data to support shaded relief and 3D-view), NAVTEQ routeable road content and elevation and detail at 1:100k scale.   Garmin part number for the new configuration is 010-00697-17 and is available at Johnny Appleseed GPS for $770 AUD and Prestige Communications for $760 AUD.
