Updated: REI Dakota 20 page now has an image of the Dakota 20.

Updated: Added larger image via GPSReview. I’ve also found REI product pages for the Garmin Dakota 10 and Garmin Dakota 20 — looks like this device is real and will fit into the product line below the Oregon.

Garmin Dakota 20 GPSReview is reporting that several online retailers including Bass Pro Shops and GPSCity have leaked two new Garmin handheld receivers called the Dakota 10 and Dakota 20. The unit was advertised with a 2.6″ diagonal touch screen (as compared to the Oregon and Colorado 3″ screen), high sensitivity receiver, built-in basemap and 850MB of memory.   I would guess that this unit is a low(ish?) end model to fill in the product line below the Colorado and Oregon, maybe as an eTrex replacement.

GPSCity does have the product listed with Garmin part numbers 010-00781-00 (Dakota 10) and 010-00781-01 (Dakota 20), but the descriptions are all related to the Oregon 300. The original material which appeared on the Bass Pro Shops site has since been pulled.
