Garmin Colorado 400t — $299 at Amazon
I’ve seen a number of signs lately that Garmin is probably going to discontinue the Colorado line, this is another. Amazon is selling the Garmin Colorado 400t for $299. The Colorado might not have all the bells and whistles that the Oregon does but I still think it is a better receiver and just because Garmin stops selling a GPS that doesn’t mean they stop supporting it. I don’t expect to see many new features showing up in the Colorado but for $300 it is going for over $50 less than the Dakota 20 and Oregon 300 and about the same price as a 60CSx.

I do not understand the Garmin stance of possibly discontinuing the Colorado. Have used both and by
far prefer the Colorado – use the 300 for geocaching.
A sad development… PS recently played around with
a Dakota a friend purchased… a real dog… gave me the impression as an etrex version of the oregon if you can grasp that…
